In Paris for Fashion Week and want to unwind après ski style, without leaving the city? Famed chef Alain Ducasse of the Hôtel Plaza Athénée and his crackerjack team have created a winter wonderland of a pop-up restaurant, Les Bancs d’Hiver (“Winter Benches”), open now through March 10th.
Located outdoors on the hotel’s seasonal ice rink, 120 euros ($161) will get you a warming glass of mulled wine, a steaming bowl of chestnut soup, the gooey fondue goodness of raclett, a traditional dessert comprised of roasted pears, raw cream and sponge cake, and a glass of white wine that perfectly complements your meal. Feel free to wear your woolliest, warmest gear, as the staff of Les Bancs d’Hiver is appropriately outfitted in puffer jackets and moon boots by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac for Rossignol. xx Ashley Churchill
