Paris Goes Green with Heliocosm’s Sustainable Skincare

Founded in May 2011, Heliocosm creates nourishing skincare products made from raw and organic ingredients.

From the bottles to the labels to the manufacturing, Heliocosm has made sustainability its mission.   The French brand tapped architecture and design studio FREAKS free architects to craft their first boutique/atelier.  Though minimal in decor, the robin’s egg blue walls and attentive staff create a welcoming ambiance.  The front and back of the store are connected by a wood tunnel that houses Heliocosm’s refrigerated products and across from its non-perishables, leading to an atmospheric sitting area that is illuminated by a photo wall of a cool mountain landscape.  This eco-friendly company also offers in-store workshops where attendees can make their own Heliocosm products using the finest natural ingredients. –Christina Mannatt
