In an area of California known for its Mid Century Modern architecture, one restaurant embraces cool minimalism. Palm Springs’ Workshop Kitchen + Bar is housed in a gorgeous Colonial building, featuring 27-foot-high cathedral ceilings and 17-foot-high barn style windows. New York-based Soma Architects worked alongside owners Michael Beckman and Joseph Mourani to infuse the space with a contemporary feel, while staying rustic enough to vibe with the restaurant’s seasonal, farm-to-table ethos. On the menu at this inspiring eatery is an array of Mediterranean-influenced fare, with a uniquely complementary cocktail program also on offer. —Ashley Churchill
