This season london Fashion Week was witness to a new jewelry initiative with the aim to support, showcase and promote Britain’s innovative fine jewelers. The BFC Rock Vault, curated by Stephen Webster and sponsored by the International Palladium Board, took the shape of a static gallery space constructed at Somerset House during London Fashion Week.
Featured designers were awarded support to create installations and will receive business mentoring as part of this project.
Yuki Agriadi Koswara’s winning design
Alongside jewelers such as Stylesight favorites Jordan Askill, Tomasz Donocik and Hannah Martin, who were selected to present at the Rock Vault, the International Palladium Board presented a new Palladium Jewellery Design Award to Central Saint Martins MA Design student Yuki Agriadi Koswara during an exclusive launch last week.
This new award heralds a collaboration between the eponymous design school and the International Palladium Board, as part of the Palladium Vision campaign to encourage new jewelry design talent and the profile of the versatile and artistic precious metal.
Five finalist were judged by an esteemed industry panel that included Stephen Webster, Carol Woolton (Jewellery Editor, British Vogue) and jeweler Hannah Martin. The finalists’ designs were showcased at the Rock Vault during Fashion Week and Yuki Agriadi Koswara was announced as the winner on the 17th February as part of the launch to celebrate the partnership.
