When Stylesight heard the announcement that Palladium has unveiled a minimal technology for their upcoming spring and fall collections, we had to get the inside scoop. As active footwear trends have segued from performance models to lifestyle brands, we love following each brand’s approach in adapting the new technology options.
As longtime fans of the Palladium brand, it’s surprising – at first – to hear that a company who started making rubber tires for the 1920’s aviation industry would be introducing a super lightweight technology into their well-known sturdy lugged soles. This silhouette is defining for Palladium, so we are happy to see the brand adapt to the minimal trend without sacrificing their time-honored identity.
So introducing the Lite Technology, an innovative update combining a molded rubber midsole with EVA-injected outsole. This combination decreases weight, introduces moisture-wicking properties into the two-piece sock liner, and makes a super breathable and lightweight kick for the upcoming spring and summer months. The 100% cotton canvas upper holds a nice hue, too! The Oxford Lite (above) shown in Pool Blue, Hot Pink, and Bright Yellow is a perfect item for women and juniors, already sparking alot of social media envy.
Check out Palladium for their Lite Collection including the Oxford Lite, Pampa Hi Lite, and Baggy Lite in a range of colorways from neutrals to brighter hues. Looking forward to warmer months and “lite” footwear! -Calvy Click
