London-based salon, Percy & Reed recently launched their bespoke range of hair care products so that everyone – and not just their hefty celebrity clientele – could enjoy. The hairdressers behind the brand, Adam Reed and Paul Percival, went to Smith and Milton to bring their quirky, fun-loving British personalities to their packaging. Caroline Phillips, of Smith and Milton, drew black and white fashion illustrations with hair that clearly express each product’s benefit. Whimsical phrases adorn each product to reinstate its benefit and keep things fun. Beautifully Bouncy Volumising Conditioner says “does my hair look big in this?” No-Fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo says “in a hurry? Don’t get yourself into a lather!” Font choice is a bit more masculine to play off the feminine illustrations on the packs and the monochrome palette keeps things vintage but young. It’s definitely got enough style to merit a second look.
