Inclusivity: Its rising importance in the US fitness market
Jun 26, 2018 | By Emma Griffin
After two weeks on the road, the Active Team is pleased to also report on our coverage at Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City. The trade show, in our opinion, is one of the biggest and best of the year for us and we look forward (like little nerds) to new releases in technology for the Spring/Summer 14 season. Taking place last week from July 31st – August 3rd, 2013, we saw a plethora of fresh gear, apparel and accessories for the growing (and very much expanding) Outdoor Market.
Top trends included the decline of “the plaid shirt” and upswing of solid button-up fronts, the continued fusion of a fashion forward aesthetic with technical driven product, and an entree of softer pastel and earthy palettes which is signaling the final departure of neon for the Outdoor Market. Some of our favorite brands and fresh items include…
Patagonia
Moving Comfort
Woolrich
Gramicci
Kavu
Filson
Arc’teryx
OluKai
Alite
Timbuk2
We have ample analysis in the pipeline from the trade show. Stay tuned for our top tier coverage coming soon!
