Oslo's Finest

danielProbably the best thing about running around Bryant Park during Fashion Week and asking well-dressed strangers if you can take their picture is that you never know who you’re going to meet. Yesterday, right before Anna Wintour walked by me (doing her very best Queen of England impression) I stopped this dashing young gent. We started chatting and it turned out that he had won Norway’s version of Project Runway, Designerspirene, back in May, and was seeing some shows here in New York as part of the prize. His name is Daniel Sorensen, and besides being super-nice, he’s also super-talented, as you can see from the amazing cuts and draping he pulled off for his first collection which showed last month as part of Oslo Fashion Week. When he told me he was based out of Oslo, I stammered something about being “really into Scandinavian things” right now, which I’m sure made me sound like a real winner. But it’s true! I’m back to chilling outside the tents today, snapping photos for Stylesight.com’s Streets and Events (and this here blog) so check in later!
