New Balance Running & Outdoor VP on sustainability, customisation and 3D printing

Fresh off of Pitti Uomo and the European mens runway shows, African prints emerged as a dominant theme throughout collections. So I revisited one of my favorite footwear brands, Osborn that embodies everything we love about the upcoming S/S 12 season.
With a mission “to do good with good design”, Brooklyn-based Osborn Shoes was created in 2007 with the objective to provide unique, quality footwear to the masses. The Guatemalan-based brand creates booties, oxfords and slip-ons in bright, eye-catching materials and prints. South American and African prints are the inspiration behind the designs for these one-of-a kind shoes crafted by hand in woven cotton, leather and recycled tires for soles. After each shoe is individually assembled by hand, the maker signs the sole – providing the buyer with the feel of a custom made product.
