Elle Sweden recently visited the uncrowned king of jeans, Örjan Andersson in his Stockholm design studio for a behind-the-scenes preview his Fall/Winter 12 collection.
Up until now, Swedish designer Örjan Andersson has had his self-titled denim line, Örjan Andersson kept under wraps until its debut for S/S 12. We have been tracking the line since it was announced last year. As the brand prepares for its F/W 12 launch, Elle Sweden took a personal visit to founder’s basement studio in Stockholm to preview the forthcoming collection. From the images it appears Andersson has been experimenting with hand- and screen-print techniques, using the label’s signature Ö logo as well as type print of the slogan (Fran Ö Till A) and the stenciled silhouette of Andersson that appears throughout his website. The forward thinking collection also includes a number of over-dye finishes: one in purple and a saturated indigo, as well as an impressive embossed back patch that provides a fantastic grounding for Andersson’s branding.
