Marwood is a new British neckwear brand that is paving a unique style, using traditionally feminine fabrics (predominantly lace) to create traditionally masculine accessories, resulting in a handsome and unexpectedly modern, luxury specialist brand.
The brand’s debut collection for autumn/winter 2011 is currently placed in London’s prestigious b store as well as Tomorrowland and Edifice Japan. Marwood’s popularity has quickly spread with the spring/summer 2012 collection gathering growing global interest as new stockists including Barney’s New York and Harvey Nicols Hong Kong are added to their portfolio.
Craftsmanship, quality and tradition form the foundation for Marwood’s designs that are elegantly contemporary. This formula and specialism offers customer’s a unique item to treasure, “It is so easy to get the wrong necktie and so hard to simply find the right one. A tie is a man’s opportunity to stamp his style.”
The brand was born out of founder Becky French’s blog, that evolved from an online sketchbook blog into the catalyst for the brand itself. The blog continues today and is great inspiration for design and trims. All products are made in England and utilise traditional British craftsmanship and artisan manufacturing techniques.
