While performance-driven apparel continues to influence fashion-savvy brands around the globe, a new player enters the game, as Action Sports Lifestyle brand O’Neill launches its activewear collection O’Neill 365. Hitting stores in Spring 2012, the line is designed for women who are not willing sacrifice style for function, with a range of pieces that feature distinctive design lines as well as innovative fabrics like 3XDRY® from Schoeller.
O’Neill has tapped some pretty amazing women to represent the new line including Natalie Coughlin, “an elite swimmer, surfer, world traveler and yoga enthusiast with 19 medals under her belt. Natalie is the most decorated female swimmer in World Championships history, and is one of the most decorated American female athletes in Olympic history.”
Coughlin will also contribute to the O’Neill 365 Icons program, “established to recognize inspiring females who are influencers in their community and embody the vibrant spirit of the brand. O’Neill 365 Icons will contribute to blog content, provide product feedback, and be part of a growing active lifestyle network.”
The O’Neill 365 debut collection includes a range of items including sports bras, racer back support tanks, lifestyle hoodies and stretch capris in eye catching colors with on-trend prints and graphics.
The line also boasts essential technical features such as moisture management, anti-static fabric, odor-resistant treatments, UV30+ fabric to protect the skin, and wind and water-resistant characteristics.
“For just shy of 60 years, O’Neill has been known for its high quality performance products,” said Kari Johnson, O’Neill’s VP of Design and Marketing. “We’re extending our story even further by introducing an activewear line that reflects our rich technical history and California beach roots, and addresses the needs and lifestyle of a modern active female.” – Jeanine Pesce
