On the lookout for fresh Men’s jewelry brands we came across Duffy Jewellery; an enlightened, androgynous collection, handmade by designer/ maker Duffy from his studio and showroom in Shoreditch, London. Traditional craftsmanship teamed with striking designs makes this a unique and exciting talent to watch.
The latest collection “Memories of Innocence” draws on Duffy’s childhood memories and day dreams. Pieces look boldly contemporary and at the same time hauntingly antique, using reclaimed bone piano keys, figurative talon claws and dark proverbs to inspire a dark undertone. Collaborations with an interesting mix of brands and designers including PPQ, Katie Eary, Carhartt and Nike has honed a dynamic signature style. His celebrity fans include Erin O’Connor, Daisy Lowe and Dinos Chapman.
2012 sees the launch of the Duffy Jewellery online store, and despite previous seasons at Selfridges, it has become important for the brand to keep a small stockist portfolio, emphasizing the importance of a contemporary bespoke jewelery service; revisiting the traditional luxury experience of commissioning special pieces.
