Olympics 2010 Vancouver: Opening Ceremony


Tonight marks the Opening Ceremonies for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada! The world will be watching more than 2,500 athletes from around the globe in 82 countries as they enter inside Vancouver’s BC Place. Reportedly, the opening and closing ceremonies have cost close to 40 million dollars to execute.

For the United States of America, Ralph Lauren took the reigns and designed the Olympic athlete uniforms they will be wearing during the procession.


The 15 sporting events held at the Games include: Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Cross-country skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skiing, Ice Hockey, Luge, Nordic combined, Short Track Speed Skating, Skeleton, Ski Jumping, Speed Skating – and a personal favorite here at Stylesight – Snowboarding.
