TOUGH + TENDER
New York: Flora Gill and Alexa Adams have taken their Ohne Titel line from directional concept pieces to wearable looks, still maintaining the tough-chic aesthetic that has attracted so many followers to the label. The intergalactic warriors of Spring were replaced by softer shapes in a rich palette of ecru, taupe, olive and black. Based on Edwardian military dress, the clothing had an edge, but artful drapery and feminine silhouettes made it all approachable. Suits were extra-slim with smooth metal buttons and high collars referencing the theme. Pieced leggings and hosiery appeared again, this time in tonal shades, often incorporating leather. A collaged mesh dress featured a flared silhouette that felt sweet despite the edgy material, and cropped motorcycle jackets were softened by fur trim.
