Having collaborated with some of the greatest names in the design scene, American retailer Target is now engaging top pinners and bloggers as creative partners for an enticing new project.
Three of the most influential pinners of the moment will create a party planning limited-edition collection, launching in March 2014. Joy Cho of Oh joy!, Jan Halvarson of Poppytalk and Kate Arends of Wit & Delight will showcase their artistic talent in this curious partnership.
Joy Cho, lifestyle blogger, pinner and author of the design and inspiration blog Oh Joy!, will be the first one to unveil her collection. There will be four Oh Joy! for Target deliveries throughout the year, one per season in Spring, Summer, Fall and Holiday – and will remain in stores for a limited period of six weeks. Known for her bold colors and patterns, and her attention to detail, Joy proposes a bright and vibrant collection consisting of dynamic mix-and-match patterns to enliven the designs.
This first capsule collection is inspired by garden party atmospheres, and will cover everything from decorative items to paper serviettes. Her signature floral touches, pretty pastels and glowing lanterns will be central to the most unforgettable outdoor festivities. Joy Cho really thought of everything that might be required for celebrations, stating, “I really wanted to create a collection that helps people make their parties pop, even if they don’t have time to add those handmade touches themselves”.
