As one of the designers to watch, Austin Sherbanenko’s Odyn Vovk fills in the dark void left since the untimely passing of Cloak several seasons ago. Showcasing such an ominous collection in historic St. Marks church suggested a juxtaposition of good versus evil. Unlined, lightweight kangaroo leather vests were worn with nothing but a scowl and a chest full of tatoos, while the line’s trademark funnel necks continued to show up on slim, elongated knits and jackets. Asymmetric zipper placement, jackets made up of mixed materials, and black leggings all added to the interesting layers. Tough combat boots and native-inspired neck ornaments completed the urban warrior look.
