ODDSAC: A Visual Album from Animal Collective

zeitgeist_5_19_2010.jpg

After four years of collaboration with filmmaker Danny Perez, Animal Collective has released a visual album entitled ODDSAC. Described as “an earthy, psychedelic experimental narrative infused with [the band’s] aural and musical sensibilities,” the Brooklyn-based band has officially crossed over to the dark side with this eerie – and almost demonic – film and soundtrack. ODDSAC premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and will tour through the summer with a DVD scheduled for release on June 29, 2010. For those who can’t see the visual album in action, the trailer provides a glimpse into the artistically twisted world of Animal Collective.
