EASY CHIC
Milan: Tapping into the tropical trend that has spread like wildfire since the last Resort season, Alessandro Dell’Acqua sent girls down the runway in dresses with nude ladies splashed across the front, a gutsy direction that was countered with a range of prim crisp separates. A cool palette of icy blues and metallics, another trend that has been picking up steam this season, had a sophisticated feel that added a sense of girly glam that Italian collections are often known for.  Stripes and madras plaid put a sporty-schoolgirl spin on things that made the former Brioni designer’s collection appealing for just about any woman out there. —Shannon Davenport
