New York: Brother and sister duo, Chris and Nicholas Kunz, presented a collection full of downtown-worthy layers for S/S 11. Looking back to their self-described utilitarian roots, the show was an evolution of last season’s luxe-grunge styling. Lightweight flannel shirts made up in sun-faded plaid was layered under unconstructed jersey blazers and worn with knit pants and combat boots – the epitome of Seattle style. Hooded ponchos and sleeveless trench coats resulted in a contemporary approach to Goth with subtle undertones of urban nomad. The ease of the many summer-weight layers and a neutral color palette makes the collection an approachable look for many young men.
