Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Steve Sabol of NFL Films. As a legend and iconic man in football, Sabol pushed the limits of documentary film throughout the game of football and said by the man himself, “to give a creative treatment to reality.”
Steve Sabol served as the President, cameraman and editor of NFL Films through the years alongside his father Ed Sabol, bringing prolific words and heart pounding visuals about football. Based in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey the creative house’s groundbreaking coverage of a sport connected fans in a deeper way, showcasing the exceeding emotional side of the game behind the closed doors of a locker room or on the sideline. Over the weekend and last night during Monday Night Football, the NFL paid tribute to Sabol throughout the games highlighting the filmmaker in a touching film…
“Life is good, football is better.” – Steve Sabol
