Miuccia Prada and Elsa Schiaparelli up next at the Met
It was revealed last week that iconic Italian female designers Miuccia Prada and Elsa Schiaparelli will be the subject of the next exhibit at the Met’s Costume Institute. The double designer feature is unexpected, but makes sense when one considers the subjects’ similar trademarks and quirky-sophisticated aesthetics. Although almost no details have been offered yet, we know that the show will debut next spring, so we can assume that it will serve as the theme for next year’s gala as well.
