San Francisco-based studio NewDealDesign has launched Beep, a dial-shaped gadget that works with any speaker and turns it into a conduit for streaming music.

Beep only needs a wi-fi network (and a micro USB port for power) –  no app or login is required – and has been designed with a human-centred approach, intended to spark an emotional connection with the user.

The embedded LED light is used to communicate functions: volume, pause, advance and play.

Beep is hand assembled in San Francisco and ships globally; it retails for £97. Find more information at www.thisisbeep.com
