Donna Karan celebrates the holidays with the unveiling of the Urban Zen Holiday Marketplace. Here shoppers will find a range of artisanal goods from around the world, everything from jewelry and handbags to wooden dollhouses and furniture. A portion of each vendor’s proceeds, some of which include Elvis & Kresse, Caliber Collection and The FEED Foundation, will be donated to its cause of choice. Open for the month of December (though there is talk of extending the date through the new year), this haven of all things beautiful and philanthropic makes for the perfect holiday shopping destination. –Sarah Ryan Hecht

“I have always talked about dressing and addressing. It’s not only what you’re wearing on the outside but also on the inside. There is a soul there, an artisan hand. There is a conscious way of doing business.”
