Just in time for New York Fashion Week, American menswear label Shipley & Halmos sets up shop on the street best known for touristy merch and designer imposters. It comes as no surprise that the witty designers chose Canal Street to open their first ever retail space, where clever trinkets and knickknacks of distinct S&H influence fill the shop. Stocked here are parody versions of Canal Street finds like T-shirts, key chains and iPhone cases, alongside the label’s Spring ’14 collection. Also find the limited edition Shipley & Halmos x Vans black paint-splattered Authentics, as well as three custom fragrances from D.S. & Durga entitled When a Mandarin Loves a Woman, Eve’s Saint L’Orange and Tanng Sport. The limited-run shop will be open through February 23rd, so for those headed to SoHo during NYFW, be sure to take a quick Canal Street detour. –Sarah Ryan Hecht
