Marc Jacobs’ ever-changing Bleecker Street stores are difficult to keep track of, but this time it’s one for the books. His dedicated accessories store has been newly transformed to house the designer’s inaugural beauty collection. Designed by Jaklitsch/Gardner Architects, the space resembles a jewelry box complete with mirrored walls and Art Deco-inspired gondolas. You’ll enter through to find a black granite table – the store’s centerpiece and also the workstation for the Sephora University-trained makeup artists – marked by a custom black and white chandelier designed by Kacper Dolatowski hanging above. Marc Jacobs’ coveted fragrances are showcased above a Guy-Lefevre-designed vintage table, while makeup bags made of fabrics from his fall ready-to-wear collection are stocked below. This is the designer’s first dedicated beauty boutique, but custom-designed fixtures housing his new collection have made their way to 11 additional Marc Jacobs locations across the US. –Sarah Ryan Hecht
