I dig that gold biker jacket. nice. and nice to see New York again. Thanks eddie!

  • BABISU

SO THE YOUNG LADY IN THE BLACK DRESS AND LEATHER JACKET HAS THE LOSS OF APPETITE AS I HAVE THE LOSS LOOKING AT HER PHOTO AGAIN -SOMEONE HOLD HER DOWN AND FEED HER A SANDWICH (I AM A SKINNY WOMAN BUT WOULD NEVER BE CAUGHT LOOKING SO EMACIATED) THAT LOOK IS SO NOT GRACEFUL IN WHICH STYLE CONSISTS OF!!!

  • For some reason, when I think of New york style, flip flops don’t come to mind…

  • Yea New York!

  • I don’t think flip-flops are stylish either…but I like her jeans…and wanted to show the whole outfit…it would look strange to crop off only her feet in the shot, no? Besides, photos that I shoot and post are sometimes about physical beauty (she certainly has that), or quirky qualities that a person may possess, or about something that is going on in the background, etc. – I’ve never said “please look at the clothes these people are wearing and only the clothes”.

  • haha flip flops are everywhere from where I come from (SoCal).

    OMG It’s Phillip!!!!!!!! great subjects!

  • Ooh!!! I’ll be in New York very soon and this is such a tease… I can’t to be among this.

  • The gold leather jacket w/ black sleeves is amazing!!!

  • That gold jacket is so good! With the shoes and all. Love it!

  • I love a great (beaten-up) leather jacket!

  • Teff

I TOTALLT AGREE with BABISU !!!

Awfull, just damn awfull to post such a picture of that gastly thin lady! It’s NOT healthy, its NOT fashionable and it’s certainly NOT to admire!

  • cristina

    wow, scarily thin

  • Meredyth

The thin woman looks upsettingly malnourished. I can only hope there’s something wrong with her metabolism versus a dangerous vanity.

  • Scout

Dearest ” BABISU” and somewhat “Teff”,

Fortunately, I know this incredible woman. Unfortunately, you know NOTHING of her. Before you make your ghastly and jealous remarks of her again, or anyone else with such rash judgement, I would inquire personally. She has more style and wit than most people I know and she eats like a pregnant cow and does nothing to get rid of it, only when nature calls. Some people have it naturally, others don’t.

  • randy

Salt water flush, eat your heart out.

That girls boots are amazing! xo

  • The bottom four pics are my fave, love all the vintage pieces.

  • Teff

Dear Scout, I am not jealous. I said and mean what I did, of a moral and health awearness aspect. This friend may be lovely, really, but it’s NOT the point. Understand that.

Your friend does not eat like a cow. Bones, do not stick out of your flesh when you eat like a cow. Out of my aspect, Stylesightings did an awful thing posting and NOT removing these pictures.

  • Scout

    Dearest Heff,

AGAIN, you have repeated history, do NOT make rash judgement, but instead inquire personally. She is my best friend in life, I have spent more time with her than anyone else has, besides her parents . Why don’t you make a comment about the boy she is posing with? His legs are just as thin? Sexist? Just because you live in America and have an obese standard for natural weight does not mean you have to reflect it on someone who is naturally that thin. And yes, they do stick out like that. Clearly you have no idea of body proportion and naturally thin vs. eating disorder, otherwise you would clearly see the certain proportions of the body that do not lend themselves to that of someone who starves themselves. Last point I would like to make is, STYLE sightings is the website, just like it is titled, and NOTHING else.

  • If the girl was obese, no one would say anything. People are so quick to complain about a girl for being too skinny and to blame someone for posting that picture and promoting it but would you dare say that someone is promoting obesity if they posted a picture of a overweight women? I agree that the woman looks unhealthy but this isn’t a blog about body image or health, this is a blog about style and clothing. Is he suppose to always be politically correct when posting pictures based on the clothing that a person is wearing?

  • P.S. her boots and her fringe leather jacket are awesome! and I love the guy, he reminds me of bobby d.

  • Eating is clever. And being clever helps to have style. She isn’t really elegant, she is just one of these fashion clones, starving, wearing leather and black. Maybe she is really sweet and interesting, clever and funny, but this blog is supposed to give us inspiration and models, muses. And it’s a pity that women who are obviously starving are given as models to us through this blog.
And sorry for my english, I’m french.

  • Teff

Very true Scout, actually I forgot the almost thinner boy standing next beside her. And I’m very glad to say; I live in Sweden, chech it up, it’s far far from USA. We have a very political correct view here, so there might be a cultural crash here. It still frightens me how skinny these people are, even though they are your very dear friends. If I were their freind, I’d be awfully conserned and beg them to see the doctor (who propably is more educated than both of us in the Health aspect) because something might be wrong with their digestive.

  • Hogan

Absolutely no way on Gods planet earth this woman eats! Perhaps she does eat to live but only just so.. But to state she eats ´like a cow´ is a gross exaggeration if ever! I mean talk about the invasion of the stick insects from the planet Zod! This couple would make great B movie entertainment!
This woman in particular would make a great StarTreck Villain all stick and bone and clad in black!
THE FLESHIEST PART OF HER BODY JUST HAPPENS TO BE HER LIPS!

Starving for fashion sake does not a great role model make!

  • It’s completely shocking how hateful some of these comments are. Expressing concern for someone’s appearance is one thing but you guys are literally saying cruel and unnecessary things. It’s a shame you’ll probably never know Stacey and have the fortune of being in the company of someone as beautiful, kind-hearted, and sweet as her, someone who would NEVER leave nasty comments about someone else on a blog.. Love ya girl.

  • why do you guys have to be so mean?! ok, i see that she’s skinny, and she might be too skinny, but i don’t know. some people is naturally thinner than others. but one of you in the earlier comments says that it seems like noone have any troble, talking shit about other peoples weight if they are skinny, but it is NOT ok if they are overweight. shouldn’t it be the same? and these overweight models have just been an image for the justice in the world.
(and you rude people, have you read the commenting rules? i usually don’t care, but you’re breaking them totally..) sorry sorry sorry for my worst english..
