Happy New Year to all, we hope everyone had a well-deserved rest this year. To ease you all into the New Year, we selected some inspirational editorials below to inspire denim lovers out there and kick-start New Year inspiration!
Danish magazine ‘Cover’ rings in the new year with a denim shoot entitled “Back to Basics”. The piece, shot by Andreas Öhlund and styled by Emelie Johansson, features western staples such as the classic trucker and fitted shirt as well as statement utility-alls to create that workwear vibe. Thanks to Pics And Models for the photos and info.
Top stylist Grace Cobb teams up with photographer Cuneyt Akeroglu for Wonderland magazine in this rebel-youth inspired shoot. Classic denim and leather looks combine to create iconic images reminiscent of Karlheinz Weinberger’s work. Thanks to The Fashionisto for images and info
A slightly older shoot here, but definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already seen it. Carrie-Anne Burton models for Dazed and Confused magazine’s editorial, called “Double Shadow”. With Jason Kibbler as photographer and Robbie Spencer as stylist, the shoot plays with the idea of total look denim while at the same time managing to make the look directional and modern. Thanks to Pics and Models‘ blog for the images.
Stylist Emine Sander and photographer Peter Gehrke, create a denim-centric guys’ shoot for Swedish Café magazine. Looks are timeless and dapper with a strong 60s Beatnik attitude, and a pinch of northern soul thrown in for good measure. Thanks to The Fashionisto for images and info.
