The Stylesight Denim team is out in Berlin attending the Bread and Butter Berlin trade show; an important date for denim and casualwear brands. Many parties, openings and events are taking place across the city, but the exciting denim event of last night was the opening of a new, two story Weekday store on Friedrichstrasse.
Apart from Weekday’s own collection MTWTFSS the stores also retail CheapMonday and Weekday Vintage. In spring 2009, Weekday launched its new concept Weekday Collaboration. So far these collaborations have included designers such as Carin Wester, Nhu Duong, Nakkna, Mini Market, Peter Jensen, Ali Zedtwitz, Stine Goya and Peter Jensen.
Weekday started off as a tiny store on Lilla Essingen in Stockholm. It was called Weekend back then because it was only open Saturdays and Sundays, but since then the empire has grown, with 15 stores and counting.
The opening was the hip event of the evening, attracting a queue of hipsters and denim lovers from Berlin and visitors from around the world.
