The guys at Wrangler Bluebell have released their new S/S 11 lookbook video on their website and it’s another interactive and super-cool example of using Flash technology to create something a little bit different.
Tony Ward, who has been the brand’s muse for the last three seasons (and has been featured in their various interactive Flash scenarios, including being pushed and pulled accross the screen and even undressed at the click of a mouse!) is seen in a split-screen video, one traveling backwards and one forwards in time. It was shot at the legendary Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, California. Have a play with the innovative video here.
The idea of the past being in step with the present reflects the collection; for S/S 11; jeans, jackets and shirts are Made In The USA and Blue Bell returns to its roots, bringing the strength of its American heritage into modern denim clothing. Classic chambray shirts are sun-bleached and embroidered and a tight palette of indigo, white, and baby blue is interspersed with floral and plaid, giving styling a Rockabilly-Western vibe.
