Self Edge opened four years ago in the Mission District of San Francisco with the vision of creating an “otaku” retail store dedicated to vintage style denim and other clothing produced by the Japanese. The plan was so successful that they opened their second store in New York one year ago. Today they open the doors on their largest and latest store, based in Los Angeles.
They say: “L.A. feels like a perfect fit for Self Edge, almost like the city we should have started in. From the history of the Southern Californian 50’s American vibe to the outlaw bikers that rocked the towns they traveled through heading north from San Bernardino, this is a place we were destined to be”
The store will be offering all the same brands as seen in their New York, San Francisco and the online website: Sugar-Cane, Mr Freedom, Dry Bones, Iron Heart and many more. They will also be offering a chain-stitch hemming service on their union special machine free of charge on all store purchased jeans.
