Donwan Harrell, founder of PRPS, has launched a new denim line called Nine Days. The label’s first collection, part of the new generation of affordable premium brands, is inspired by punk bands from the 80s and will retail between $98–$128. “With Nine Days, our goal was to create a directional collection to challenge the demands that pop culture imposes on today’s youth,” said Harrell. Nine days got both its name and inspiration from a seldom heard story about 96 strangers on a ship in 1730, who rebelled against the system, overthrew their captors and returned to their native Sierra Leone in nine days.
