The trend to “Go Custom” continues to become a mainstream retail option as brands expand to offer the service. New Balance gears up for the holiday season with the Custom 574s, a feature enabling customers to create a unique gift by personalizing the classic shoe. Joining similar services provided by NikeID, Vans Customs, and Converse’s “Create Your Original”, the “design-it-yourself” option includes selecting specific colors and materials, or adding personal details.
Continuing on New Balance’s string of creatively constructed events, Stylesight got the opportunity to sit down for the complete online experience. We were impressed by the huge amount of color options and customizable design components. Broken down by base, upper, heel, and accents, with an optional monogram feature, the selection process can include customizing up to 15 distinct shoe components, giving customers a chance to create a truly unique model.
