New York…Michael Kors
Known for his classics, Michael Kors stuck to the basics for his F/W 09 collection. “Investment pieces don’t have to be boring,” he said. “They can be sexy.” True to his word, Kors delivered slim pencil skirts with a mile-high slit along with super luxe furs that exuded sophistication. A double-breasted elongated blazer with abbreviated sleeves was matched with a slim pant for a look that was new and office appropriate. The color palette was classic with a twist—comprised mostly of black, taupe and camel, Kors invigorated his collection of basics with a smattering of neon brights. Hot pink, neon yellow and electric orange appeared on fur coats, trapper hats and sheath dresses. Could Kors have also been inspired by Stephen Sprouse?
