NEW YORK…Nanette Lepore was another designer who championed the “Save the Garment Center” cause, clothing herself and the staff in slogan t-shirts. The same type of passion came through in her collection, which despite a rather toned down palette of garden hues against a sand colored background, had a healthy dose of feminine flirtation. Satin jumpsuits, floral tunic tops and high waisted shorts will fit perfectly in the juniors wardrobe, while a couple of missteps like heavy macramé cardigans and dresses could be edited out.
