Canadian denim specialists, Naked & Famous look to push the boundaries of denim once more with their upcoming Reverse Fade Denim jean.
This week Naked & Famous Denim gave the infamous Hypebeast an exclusive look at their new Reverse Fade Denim, part of the collection for Fall/Winter 2011. Produced exclusively for Barneys New York, the denim features an opposite wear effect demonstrated by founder Brandon Svarc at several trade shows earlier this year. The jeans fade from white to blue as opposed to the standard blue with white marks as seen in traditional raw denim. No release date is confirmed but be sure to look out soon through select Barneys retailer stores nationwide.
Watch the video here and listen to how Brandon discusses the creative process of conceiving something like a reverse fade denim. Brandon elaborates on his role as an avid member of the fashion community and the distinct traits on which Naked & Famous hangs its hat.
Also this week, the guys over at Tenue de Nîmes announced their forthcoming collaboration with Naked and Famous for Fall 11. Brandon from N&F released a sneak preview image of a 13oz green, rope-dyed army repro selvage denim fabric that Naked & Famous sourced from Japan for the project. On top of that Joachim designed a beautiful natural leather patch that embraces both of the brands Dutch and Canadian origin. Check out the images on the Tenue de Nîmes blog.
