Naked & Famous Denim x BIG JOHN 14oz Weird Guy Jeans

Naked and Famous have collaborated with denim legend, “Big John”, the first-ever Japanese denim Brand to create a special edition collection.

Famously recognized as the very first denim brand in Japan, BIG JOHN has steadily built some of the country’s finest denim since 1940. Celebrating this storied tradition, Naked & Famous linked up with BIG JOHN to reproduce the very first denim fabric ever made in Japan by the oldest mill in Kurabo.

The denim is a 14oz indigo, reminiscent of classic 1950s cowboy style jeans – stiff indigo without the distractions. They come cut in the brand’s Weird Guy fit and feature all of the signature BIG JOHN construction details you’d expect, including hidden rivets, antique copper hardware, and a custom deer skin patch embossed with the Big John Americana imagery. Only 377 pairs were produced, available exclusively through Barneys New York stores worldwide.

Here’s a video clip with Brandon Svarc, from the Naked & Famous team talking about the collaboration and a super quick explanation of the Big John history.
