New York: Taking a sojourn from his namesake collection, Nary Manivong (the inspiring star of  recent documentary Dressed) teamed up with fashion progeny Ally Hilfiger to debut a new line called Nahm. Inspired by The Raven, Edgar Allan Poe’s seminal work and the bird itself, the collection reinterpreted the men’s button-up shirt in various silhouettes and autumnal hues to reflect the animal’s significance as the symbol of rebirth and transformation. Like the poem, the collection had a dark, slightly goth tone, but Manivong’s romantic sensibility added a compelling dimension in the soft grunge-y layers and charmingly offbeat proportions.
