Using organic materials, natural dyes and artisanal fabrics, Gilded Age has been a favorite brand of the Denim department for some time. Founder of the brand, Stefan Miljanic prides himself on utilizing old machinery and methods of construction, which give the denim a unique age-old look as well as an imperfect and weathered appearance.
This season was particularly special as he showed for the first time at N.Y. fashion week and, normally a menswear denim brand, he presented a collection for both Women and Men for fall. For guys, a strong outdoors story drove the collection with beautifully layered shirts, jackets and outerwear, and a focus on laundered sand shades, greys and blacks. The Women’s range featured the signature vintage laundries that the brand is known for, and key pieces included the super-wide legged palazzo trouser and the slim fit worker pant with modernized carpenter seam details. All in all, it was a great collection and we look forward to seeing more from this authentic denim brand.
