N.Y. Fashion week was surprisingly lacking in denim this season. Yesterday we talked about the Gilded Age show, which was a real highlight, but we couldn’t mention the New York runways without talking about the G-Star Raw show. Always a denim ‘show to watch’, the brand showcased an inspiring collection of wearable but directional pieces in deeply resin-coated and scraped, blooming indigos.
Key pieces included the guys’ blouson-trucker and extreme drop crotch military pant, and for girls the cover-all and the waisted, Victorian western jacket. The season was predominately inspired by performance and outdoor clothing, with moderized workwear looks remaining key for the brand. Check out the full collection here.
