This morning we had the opportunity to preview The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new Jewels by JAR exhibit, a retrospective of more than four hundred works by Paris-based fine jewelry designer Joel A. Rosenthal. The artist, who has worked under the name JAR for more than thirty-five years, is known for sculptural designs in vibrant colors and shading created by his pavé technique.

Jewels By JAR runs November 20, 2013—March 9, 2014.
