Rachel Antonoff gets our vote for one of the most creative and fun-filled presentations of New York Fashion Week. Taking place at the Lafayette House in Manhattan’s East Village, the designer staged a murder mystery and placed the models as suspects and victims throughout the various rooms. Lights were low and music hummed in the background, effectively setting the mood. Each room held a different scene, and as the attendee went through all the spaces, they were to try and solve the mystery while looking at the clothes. Models even acted out certain roles like detectives and suspects. Inspiration was drawn from old Nancy Drew and Sherlock Holmes mysteries, certainly a relelvant influence at the moment. The clothes were so cute, we’re not sure we ever figured out who the murderer was.
