Mr Porter: Denim Skate Inspiration

Online menswear store Mr Porter showcased their latest delivery of denim with the talented 18 year-old skateboarder and aspiring photographer, Costa Kardana.

As part of Mr Porter’s latest online journal, The Working Man’s Issue, the menswear store calls out denim as a key fabric for the season with a skate-driven photo shoot featuring  Kardana. He demonstrates why this iconic fabric is a hardwearing style staple with a shoot inspired by 50s skate styling. In the exclusive piece we see Costa, who has been skating since he was 13, showcase denim’s original qualities of strength and durability while performing moves we could only dream of pulling off. Costa is kitted out in the store’s latest selvedge denim pants, contrast-panel western shirts, Hawaiian print shirts and classic denim jackets from the likes of Rag & Bone, Ami, McQ, J Brand Denim and Levi’s Vintage Clothing. Take a look below or head over to the online store to take a closer look at some of the pieces from the shoot.
