Moncler Gamme Bleu

Milan: Inspired by Formula One this season, Thom Browne combined bespoke tailoring with sporty racing garb. The collection, comprised almost entirely of quilted, down-filled pieces, began with very literal takes on the racing jumpsuit, and continued on to tailored separates, suits and even a few black tie looks. Puffa pants and shorts looked surprisingly wearable and urban, especially with rib knit cuffs, while blazers and Chesterfield coats maintained their dignity in volumized proportions. Tailored items muted grey Tartan plaid provided a traditional contrast to the nylon ripstop, racing stripes and  Logos in the style of sponsor’s patches.    —Anna Jane Davis
