The partnership showcases the best of Momotaro’s Japanese raw denim know-how and the unconventional denim approach that characterizes the Canadian boys, Naked and Famous.
Using natural indigo dyes, the jeans are “made by hand without compromise” at Momotaro’s denim plant in Kojima, Japan. The collaborative denim is finished with a union special chain stitch that, when turned inside out, features back pockets emblazoned with the rising sun of Japan and Canada’s red maple leaf. Other highlights include a lamb leather patch featuring the logo from both companies and Momotaro’s signature pink stitching.
The Naked & Famous Denim x Momotaro jeans will be available at Barneys New York in October 2010.
