Angela Missoni sent beach-bound hippie chicks down the runway for spring. In a palette of muted pinks, blues, goldenrod and neutrals, with accents of shocking pink, Missoni employed the label’s signature knit and crochet techniques, incorporating metallic threads and bits of lamé for sparkle and shine. Layer upon layer of separates — cropped tops over tanks, bandeaus over tops, sweaters tied at the waist, and calf-length tube skirts over calf-length tube skirts — seemed weightless in these filmy materials. Bicep bracelets, shell anklets, beaded bags and necklaces hung with tassels and silver whistles provided texture and movement to long and languid silhouettes. Soft knapsacks and braided hair completed the elegant Bohemian mood.
