Miss Piggy and Kate Spade have teamed up to create an engaging product collaboration with a Holiday ad campaign and film promo for the upscale fashion brand.
The Christmas-only ‘Disney Miss Piggy Collection by Kate Spade New York’ will launch December 1 both in-store and online. The capsule collection, in her signature sparkle and pink tones, features bags, jewellery, iPhone cases and a pink sweater emblazoned with the porker’s legendary ‘Who Moi’? catchphrase. Prices will range $48-$378.
Kate Spade chief creative officer Deborah Lloyd dubbed Miss Piggy “the quintessential fashionista”, adding, “she was the perfect girl to represent us for Holiday.”
Meanwhile, the accompanying Holiday ad campaign (which breaks online today) also features supermodel Jourdan Dunn and costume designer Catherine Baba, while Miss Piggy is also the face of the brand’s ‘Miss Adventure’ film, which will be released online in December. The film also stars actress Zosia Mamet and author Leandra Medine of Man Repeller.
The Holiday campaign also highlights the brand’s new ‘give it a twist’ collection that encourages the Kate Spade New York girl to express her individuality with product combinations and customisation. It’s part of the brand’s major initiative where the customer can personalise their accessories with initials, stickers, phrases, patches and tassels in-store and online, including partners such as Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Lord & Taylor websites.
