Titled “African Pop”, Miss Bikini’s spring collection brought an international flavor to Milan. The models resembled creatures of the rainforest, decked out in a vibrant collage of tropical flowers, stylized animal prints, ethnic motifs and kaleidoscopic embellishments. Sexy string bikinis and cutaway monokinis were left raw and unstructured, with ties around the waist, neck, and back for an adjustable fit. Innovation lay in the styling in this collection and its eye-catching accessories. Billowing chiffon and iridescent lamé caftans added movement, and the velvet devoré leggings are sure to be a year-round must-have. Seashell-encrusted turbans and chunky agate neck plates added to the exotic siren mood, the natural elements creating the image of a goddess who just emerged from the sea.
