Milan: Miuccia Prada continued the exploration of gender on her new collection. She analysed menswear staples blending with womenswear ones. The experiment proved successful – lightweight coats and boxy short-sleeved shirts were cut in black nylon, while uniform-inspired outerwear, shirts and tailored separates looked elegant and modern in an extremely dark colour palette of black, blue and grey. Precise tailoring brought some newness to the line-up – double-breasted blazers featured six buttons and tubular suits and coats looked modern and youthful. The designer played with fabrics too – shinny nylons were paired with matte wools and cottons giving the minimalistic designs more definition. Simple and fascinating. – Diego Sanchez
