Some sweet Italian street style eye candy. I’m in Milan currently for Milano Moda Donna. These photos were all shot yesterday as I ran around to shows from Giorgio Armani, Ferre, D&G, and Burberry Prorsum. Armani owns this city – so his show was the biggest scene – but thinking strictly in terms of what was shown on the runway, Burberry was my favorite. (Burberry was also the most entertaining pre-show as I upgraded myself to a seat directly across from Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfeld. Despite the fact that there was only one person sitting between them – and despite the fact that most of those around them were passing the time by chatting – they proceeded to studiously glance in every direction except at each other…for…a…long…time. I’m sure they said hello and I just missed it. I love both of them – even if they don’t love each other.) Then last night it was out to the Pink is Punk party at Milano hotspot Magazzini Generali – they had Casey Spooner over from New York to guest DJ. The best bit was when I was sent out to get Raf Simons into what was essentially his own afterparty – he had shown his new Jil Sander collection earlier in the evening. Come to think of it though, the best bit had actually come earlier – when the PIP resident DJs played Hercules and Love Affair, Ladyhawke, and you’ve-got-to-be-kidding-me Amanda Lear’s “Fashion Pack (Studio 54)” back-to-back. Sweet treats indeed. xx eddie

  • Chloe

Wow another amazing post! I love the girl wearing the red heels. So chic!

  • I love the tenth look. The layers are amazing.

  • The lady in the little black dress, with shoulder pads, has killer legs! Love the second-last look as well.

all great, but what’s so interesting about that dude just wearing baggy blue jeans and chucks?

  • Blue jeans and chucks – not a very interesting outfit but I like his face, the light, the background…the clothes are sometimes secondary for me…I’m into faces, people, light, trying to capture a moment. Also, while I try to edit out all my junk photos and just post the quality ones, I don’t want to throw out all the borderline ones – that is, I don’t want to just post my top 3 photos of the day – I think that’s a bit egocentric and not keeping the reader in mind. I want to give you guys a lot to look at – 12 photos, 15, 25. A bit of – “Maybe you weren’t at this show but here’s what it looked like.”

  • Love the leopard print pants and the light blue top! Will def. try something similar out. This is why I adore street style- sometimes you have pieces in your wardrobe you never even thought to mix. Great shots of Milan streetstyle- thank you 🙂
Your tid bit about sitting across from Carine and Anna was very interesting- I’m reading the un-authorized biography on Anna (Front Row) and it refers numerous times to the fact that she has an inherent dislike for women, so I guess Carine (a beautiful and successful woman at that) didn’t stand a chance to begin with.

  • Totally agree with Stephanie… your tidbits that accompany the pix are fabulous… Gives a really great context to the atmosphere and for those of us mere mortals who cannot attend, we get to pretend .. did that rhyme? Keep up the stories puuuulease.

  • who is the women on the 3.pictures? I guess fashion editor as I always see her @ fashion shows. love the best, Kathrin http://www.twoforfashion.de

  • LOVE the girl in the blue blazer–she’s so beautiful.

  • Great!

  • The woman in the 3rd photo – that’s Anna Dello Russo – fashion director of Vogue Japan.

  • I keep looking at your pics. You pick the cool people.
