Some sweet Italian street style eye candy. I’m in Milan currently for Milano Moda Donna. These photos were all shot yesterday as I ran around to shows from Giorgio Armani, Ferre, D&G, and Burberry Prorsum. Armani owns this city – so his show was the biggest scene – but thinking strictly in terms of what was shown on the runway, Burberry was my favorite. (Burberry was also the most entertaining pre-show as I upgraded myself to a seat directly across from Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfeld. Despite the fact that there was only one person sitting between them – and despite the fact that most of those around them were passing the time by chatting – they proceeded to studiously glance in every direction except at each other…for…a…long…time. I’m sure they said hello and I just missed it. I love both of them – even if they don’t love each other.) Then last night it was out to the Pink is Punk party at Milano hotspot Magazzini Generali – they had Casey Spooner over from New York to guest DJ. The best bit was when I was sent out to get Raf Simons into what was essentially his own afterparty – he had shown his new Jil Sander collection earlier in the evening. Come to think of it though, the best bit had actually come earlier – when the PIP resident DJs played Hercules and Love Affair, Ladyhawke, and you’ve-got-to-be-kidding-me Amanda Lear’s “Fashion Pack (Studio 54)” back-to-back. Sweet treats indeed. xx eddie
